It's a genuine, positive career move in that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress up the career ladder based on performance in the role- my client is looking for candidates who may eventually become Commercial Director for the business. The ideal candidate will be currently working with a reinforced concrete structures contractor and will have successfully managed packages in the commercial, residential and infrastructure sectors- knowledge and understanding of the NEC3 and NEC4 contracts is a must. Some estimating experience is also required/useful as you may be required to work on tendering from time to time. I have also been asked to find a candidate with strong relationship building/maintenance skills and a positive, professional 'front of house' approach. This is a smaller but successful contractor where long-term relationships are a key factor in their ongoing success. The salary and package are open to negotiation but the base salary will be somewhere between 85-105k. This role may suit candidates looking to be work locally in Essex rather than in Central London or those happy to travel outside- the nearest tube station is in Zone 6 on the Central Line.
