Take full ownership of daily kitchen operations in your assigned boarding house.
1. Prepare and serve high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
2. Assist in leading and supporting a small kitchen team, promoting a positive and efficient working environment.
3. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, quality, and presentation.
4. Manage ordering, stock control, deliveries, and kitchen administration.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and follow daily/weekly cleaning routines.
6. Work as part of a 7-day rota, including some weekends.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
1. The legal right to work in the UK and UK residency for the past 5 years (required for enhanced DBS and security vetting).
2. Relevant culinary qualifications or substantial experience in a similar high-volume chef role.
3. Experience supervising or leading a team in a kitchen environment.
4. A flair for producing consistently high-quality meals with creativity and care.
5. Excellent people skills - confident, positive, and capable of motivating others.
