Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Neonatal Clinical Practice Educator (Band 7) to join our dedicated neonatal team at St Peters Hospital Chertsey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of neonatal nursing by leading on education, training, and professional development for staff across our Neonatal Unit.
Responsibilities
* Support and facilitate staff in clinical areas to identify opportunities for maintaining and improving standards of patient care.
* In liaison with the Heads of Nursing, Deputy Chief Nurse and Professional Development Lead promote a quality service using research and evidence-based practice including the setting, monitoring and auditing of clinical standards.
* Provide education and training to multidisciplinary team staff and assist in the delivery of training programmes for nurses to expand their skills.
* Develop guidelines and implement developments.
* Act as a resource for all disciplines of staff including pre-registration students.
* If applying for the B6 development role they must undertake their PG cert with 1 year to move into the CPE post.
Requirements
* Experience in neonatal care and in education/training of staff (as described in the role description).
* Demonstrated ability to lead on education, training, and professional development for neonatal staff.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
