We are recruiting to an Occupational Therapy Assistant role for the Occupational Therapy Clinics which are located countywide. Your office base will be Eastbourne. East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is working to increase its integrated approach to the delivery of health and social care services. ESCC Occupational Therapy Services is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to be part of this process within our countywide clinics. The role will be to support the Occupational Therapy Clinic Practice Manager with strategic development of the clinic service including work delegated to ensure continuation of service, data analysis, risk management and compliance activity/oversight with both internal and external agencies. To support with the develop the existing Occupational Therapy Clinic model and may include assessing Adults in line with the Care Act within a clinic environment. You will have a pivotal role in the well-being agenda and inform the interventions needed to meet clients' and carers assessed eligible needs. You will manage and reduce risks, allowing clients to remain as safe as possible in their own homes, using a reablement approach. The role may involve using a range of strength-based solutions to enhance independence and reduce risk - including daily living equipment, minor housing adaptations and joint working with partner agencies. You will need to monitor activity and report to the Practice Manager to ensure continued service can be achieved strategically in the countywide clinic settings.
