About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 3 with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). This part-time role (mornings only) offers the rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on a child’s learning and development. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you will help deliver personalised support, encourage communication and social interaction, and ensure the child is fully included in classroom activities. You will also contribute to progress monitoring and provide regular feedback to staff, playing a vital role in the child’s educational journey.
This is a part-time 0.5 FTE, permanent role needed 5 mornings per week (8:45am - 12:30pm). There is a proposed September 2025 start date.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is nurturing, patient, and able to build strong, positive relationships with children and staff alike. You will have previous experience working in a primary setting, ideally with knowledge of speech and language support or Developmental Language Disorder. Strong communication skills, a calm and confident manner, and the ability to adapt learning activities are essential. A relevant Level 3 qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A-C) are required.
