Overview
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager – Low Voltage Motors to drive growth across the West Midlands and South West of England. You will be responsible for increasing new and existing business by supporting the wider sales organisation with your product and market expertise.
This is a customer-facing role, where you will take ownership of building long-lasting relationships, providing technical support, and ensuring customer expectations are exceeded. You will work closely with the sales team to align solutions with customer needs and deliver on both short- and long-term sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to sales strategy discussions, agree targets, and deliver on your assigned sales budget.
* Analyse customer requirements and align tailored offers using market insight and sales intelligence.
* Support marketing activities (e.g. product launches) and communicate product value propositions.
* Provide technical support during meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
* Deliver product/solution training to customers as needed.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, taking full ownership of key accounts and cases.
What We’re Looking For
* Must be based within the West Midlands / South West region.
* HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong technical knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) Motors / Geared Motors, ideally into heavy industry.
* Proven experience in an external sales role with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
* Experience working with consultants and contractors.
* Knowledge of MV & NEMA Motor Products is highly desirable.
