Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in Clinical Immunoassays within our Immunology, Bioanalysis & Biomarkers department located at Clear Water House on the Heriot Watt University Campus, Riccarton, Edinburgh. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The team consists of over 80 researchers supporting clients in bringing novel treatments to patients, utilizing techniques across Immunology, Immunochemistry, Cell-Based Assays, and Molecular Biology.

As a scientist in our Clinical BioA team, your responsibilities include performing studies to support clinical trials, focusing on PK and immunogenicity studies using immunoassays. You will demonstrate proficiency in laboratory techniques, contribute to method development and validation, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to project management and process improvements.

You will also work on expanding capabilities, collaborate globally, and develop staff scientifically and technically. Occasional travel to meet sponsors and attend conferences may be required.

The minimum requirements are:

* PhD with relevant experience or MSc/BSc with strong industry experience
* Deep understanding of immunoassays
* Knowledge of preclinical and clinical drug development phases
* Desirable: experience with large molecule PK and immunogenicity assays
* Excellent team and communication skills
* Proven organizational and project management skills

The salary is £33,272 per annum.
