What will you do?
* Run your own court of protection caseload
* Manage your clients’ personal affairs
* Make applications to the court and be appointed as Deputy/Welfare Deputy
* Assist with decisions relating to retirement of an incapacitated trustee, putting in place a statutory will, making gifts from the individual’s assets and entering into a mortgage/loan arrangements
* Support lay deputies in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Code of Practice
* Assist with annual reports required by the Court
* Gain exposure to more complex matters as your knowledge and experience increase
What do you need?
* Be a Solicitor or Legal Executive
* Be newly qualified or have up to 4 years’ PQE
* Private client and/or Court of Protection experience
