About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Poole.
The school provides a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment for pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory disabilities.
Staff describe the school as a warm, collaborative community where every pupil is celebrated for their individual progress.
This is a full time position with an immediate start, supporting pupils aged 2 to 19.
Opportunities are available across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary.
Working hours are 8.30am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with ASD, communication challenges, and sensory needs
* Assist with structured routines, sensory-based activities, and learning tasks
* Provide one to one and small group support to promote engagement and progress
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
* Help create a positive, calm, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
* A minimum of 6 months childcare experience, ideally supporting children with SEN needs
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
* Enthusiasm to learn, develop professionally, and make a real difference
Experience from nursery, schools, social care, or similar settings is welcome.
