We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our experienced and talented Civil Engineering team in Cardiff as part of our Evolve Graduate Programme commencing in October 2026 (an earlier start is also possible for the right candidate). Our two-year EVOLVE graduate programme develops and supports the next generation of Built Environment professionals. As a Graduate Civil Engineer at Ridge you will benefit from on job learning experiences whilst working on a wide range of projects. Responsibilities of Civil Engineers within Ridge include: Create and adapt Civils 3D models for drainage, highway and utilities Interface with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects i.e. architects, building services engineers, project managers and cost managers Produce high quality models and drawings to a good degree of accuracy Work closely with the team to coordinate works and manage deliverables Manage time to ensure delivery on programme Represent Ridge when communicating with the wider design team Manage and co-ordinate highways and drainage designs relating to large development infrastructure projects Have a good understanding of clash detection processes and problem solving What do I need to succeed? So, if your answer is yes to all the following statements, we’d love to hear from you: I have or am predicted at least a 2:2 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering achieved in 2025 or 2026 I am available to start work full-time from 5 October 2026 I have a permanent Right to Work in the UK and do not need visa sponsorship. There will be opportunities to formally network and build your own personal connections Your buddy will have walked the same path as you and is there for any support you may need, offering friendly guidance on your day-to-day experience Your two-year programme will fly by and is just the beginning.
