Progress Teachers are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school to appoint a confident and compassionate Inclusion Manager to work within the school’s internal provision / inclusion room. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour improvement and helping young people re-engage positively with learning.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils who have been placed in internal suspension or isolation, helping them to reflect, reset and develop strategies to avoid repeated behaviours.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage students placed in the inclusion room or internal suspension
*
Monitor behaviour and maintain a calm, structured and purposeful environment
*
Support pupils to complete academic work provided by subject teachers
*
Mentor pupils on behaviour choices, emotional regulation and positive coping strategies
*
Deliver restorative conversations and reflection activities with students
*
Track attendance, behaviour and progress of pupils in the provision room
*
Communicate effectively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders
*
Maintain accurate records of incidents, reports and outcomes
*
Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion policies at all times
Requirements
*
Experience working with young people in a school, alternative provision, youth work or similar setting
*
Strong behaviour management, de-escalation and relationship-building skills
*
A calm, consistent and professional approach to challenging behaviour
*
Ability to motivate, encourage and support disengaged learners
*
Good organisational and report-writing skills
*
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
*
Ability to provide two satisfactory references
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
