Role: Relief Security Officer
Overview
ASEL designs, develops and delivers security solutions integrating people, technology and processes. As a Retail Security Officer, you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities. The role emphasizes understanding vulnerabilities and risk at each location to reduce risk and deter crime.

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom (ST6)
Responsibilities
* Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
* Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, and working proactively to minimise risk
* Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
* Completing colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer company policy
* Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
* Providing detailed, legible incident reports to assist the Client and Local Authorities
Required Experience and Qualifications
* Valid SIA licence to apply for this role
* Current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply for this role
* Experience in Retail Security is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
* Applicants must provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history
* Ability to bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address to interview
Person Profile
Effective Security Officers are confident communicators who can provide detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents. You should be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflicts professionally.
