Children’s home Llanelli P is recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join the team on a part-time basis! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team. In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them. This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day-to-day operation of the home.

The home offers a holistic approach for the care of young people from the ages of 8 to 17 on admission. We will be able to accommodate 4 young people of either gender. Through the care planning process, an approximate decision of length of stay will be made, reflecting the child's needs.
Due to the nature of the role, a Full UK Licence is essential.

A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential and Childcare is essential, along with previous experience within a residential childcare setting and the following characteristics:
* Resilience – We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioral difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated difficulties, so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
* Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understanding their needs. Good teamwork and communication are key to ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
* Organisation – As well as supervising the staff team, you’ll need to be confident and organized in updating care plans and reporting relevant information for the care of our young people.
* Caring – Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are naturally caring and compassionate, this is the role for you.
* Attentive – No young person is the same, so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
