We are currently recruiting a Pest Control Technician to join us on a permanent basis. Duties include: Support the provision of a pest control service, following work programmes, inspecting and monitoring work progress to effectively and efficiently deliver a fully integrated and comprehensive customer-focused Pest Management service within Estate Services. Lead investigations into and take action to resolve pest problems. Update records accurately in line with procedures using IT software packages. Respond to emergency situations and urgent requests as required and instructed by the Manager/Supervisor within normal day to day hours. Take appropriate action to deal with a range of issues and situations as they arise by giving practical appropriate advice or assistance, reporting more complex issues to the Manager for guidance. Deputise for the Pest Control Team Leader in their absence. Liaise with internal and external departments and agencies such as Yorkshire Water Attend all relevant training courses e.g. practical training, college training and internal training associated with the post. Requirements Basic knowledge of COSHH / Health & Safety legislation. Experience in the handling of toxic chemicals and the ability to take on physically demanding activities An awareness of Health and Safety as it relates to the role and the measures needed to do the job safely. You will possess a minimum qualification of RSPH or BPCA Level 2 with a minimum one-year practical experience, alternatively full training will be provided. A current manual driving licence with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
