Freelance Workshop Facilitators/Practitioners - Brighton ATG INSPIRE creating access, opportunity and excellence in the performing arts People of all ages, backgrounds and abilities participate in ATG INSPIRE activities, accessing our venues as valuable hubs for education, cultural engagement and social impact. The ATG INSPIRE programme is delivered across 4 key strands of focus: Education, Community, Talent & Workforce Development and Early Career. Often inspired by on-stage productions and shaped by local community needs, these activities include workshops, backstage tours, pre-show talks, Youth Theatres, summer schools, and adult classes. Freelance Workshop Facilitator/Practitioner This role is based at Theatre Royal Brighton and in the communities of this locality. You will report to the ATG INSPIRE Senior Producer and be responsible for aiding in the delivery of workshops as part of the creative learning programme. Key responsibilities · To design and deliver high quality and exciting workshops, masterclasses and projects that are age-appropriate and aligned with the objectives of ATG INSPIRE · Foster a positive, diverse and inclusive environment that encourages active participation from attenders · Collaborate with the ATG INSPIRE Senior Producer to share ideas, resources and best practices · Evaluate the impact of workshops and activities · Ensure all activities comply with safeguarding standards and policies Your skills, qualities, and experience. Essential · Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: musical theatre, dance, directing, producing, acting and performance, prop and/or costume design, scriptwriting and puppetry, drama/arts in schools · Excellent communication and organisational skills · A robust portfolio of creative work and/or previous teaching or facilitation experience · Experience of working with a broad section of participant groups and communities – including schools, people with additional needs, children, young people, families, adults and older people · Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding legislation, DBS procedure and best practices relevant to working with children, young people and vulnerable adults Desirable · Experience and/or understanding of working in a theatre setting · First Aid qualification About Us - Our values ATG Entertainment’s values set the tone for how we work, how we treat one another, and the culture we continue to build across the UK and the wider organisation.
