The role includes supporting pupils with GCSE‑level work, so confidence with academic content is important. While SEMH experience isn’t required, prior school-based experience is essential. Key Responsibilities Provide in‑class support across KS3 and KS4. Assist pupils with GCSE subjects, encouraging confidence and engagement. Build positive, trusting relationships using a relational and nurturing approach. Contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Work closely with teaching staff to support an adapted, personalised curriculum. Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and readiness for learning.
