Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior CAD Engineer to join a high‑performing, multi‑site CAD team supporting projects across Oil & Gas (Norwich), Fire Suppression Systems (Aberdeen), and Electrical Systems – PAVA / PAGA (Nottingham). You will lead the delivery of 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models/assemblies (Autodesk Inventor), producing complex, high‑quality outputs suitable for manufacture and installation, in line with JCI CAD governance and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and review 2D drawings using AutoCAD
* Develop complex 3D models and assemblies in Inventor
* Deliver designs to fabrication‑ready standard
* Ensure CAD outputs are controlled, traceable, and compliant with standards
* Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project teams
* Support multi‑discipline projects (Oil & Gas, Fire, Electrical)
* Contribute to CAD checking, review, and continuous improvement
* Coordinate effectively across UK and offshore teams
About You – Essential
* 5+ years’ CAD experience
* Strong AutoCAD (2D) capability
* Experience with 3D modelling/assemblies (Inventor or similar)
* Proven delivery of high-quality engineering drawings
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Desirable
* Oil & Gas, Fire or Electrical systems experience
* Multi‑discipline project exposure
* Knowledge of CAD standards, revision control, and checking processes
Qualifications
* Engineering Degree (preferred) or HNC/HND
