Overview
We are looking to recruit a part time bookeeper approx 8 hours per week increasing as time and responsibilities increase to ensure the smooth running of the account payable & receivable
Responsibilities
* Review incoming accounts emails and respond
* Code and post supplier invoices to Sage 50
* Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with suppliers over queries and missing invoices
* Post bank receipts and payments to Sage 50
* Bank reconciliation
* Record and post petty cash
* Post Capital On Tap transactions and reconciliation to monthly statement
* Check Ebay account, print missing transactions and post
* Match delivery notes to weekly NAPA invoices and post to Sage 50
* Match returns notes to supplier credit notes and chase credit notes for items not credited
* Prepare supplier payment list for approval
* Arrange bank payments
* Arrange Capital On Tap payments to NAPA, Parts Plus & CarCutter
* Review outstanding debtors and email monthly statements to account customers
* Enter brokers fees, delivery charges and recon cost onto car records on Evolution
* Provide accounting support to management
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a bookeeper or in a similar role within an accounting department.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial recordkeeping.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with vendors and colleagues.
