Our client, a leading UK digital consultancy, is seeking a
Lead Data Analyst
to join their growing data practice.
As a Lead Data Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping analytical solutions that deliver real impact. You'll work within multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver
data-driven insights
that inform strategic decisions and improve digital services. Acting as a
technical and strategic consultant
, you'll guide clients on best practices in analytics, mentor junior team members, and contribute to building a strong data culture both within the organisation and across client projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver actionable, data-driven insights using a range of
quantitative and qualitative techniques

* Collaborate with stakeholders to
translate business objectives into analytical solutions
and clear, compelling data stories.
* Lead on the
design and implementation of data models, dashboards, and reports
using tools such as
Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
.
* Identify opportunities for
advanced analytics
— including predictive modelling, segmentation, and machine learning applications.
* Explore and analyse
large, complex data sets
across structured and unstructured sources.
* Ensure
data integrity and quality
, applying effective cleaning, blending, and validation techniques.
* Guide clients on
data governance, platforms, and architecture
, including cloud-based solutions.
* Mentor and develop junior data professionals, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
* Promote the consultancy's data expertise through thought leadership, case studies, and community engagement.
About You
Essential Experience
* Proven experience as a
Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst
, ideally within a consultancy or digital environment.
* Expertise in
data analysis, visualisation, and storytelling
, with experience using
Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
.
* Proficiency in
SQL
and one or more programming languages such as
Python, R, Scala, or Julia
.
* Hands-on experience working with
large data warehouses or data lakes
and
cloud analytics platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Spark, or Splunk).
* Understanding of
data management principles
, including cleansing, validation, and transformation.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to
lead and mentor analysts
, supporting skill development and professional growth.
Desirable
* Experience working with
public sector or government clients
.
* Familiarity with
web analytics platforms
(e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
* Knowledge of
advanced analytics and machine learning methodologies
