Are you an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator looking to join a growing and supportive contractor? Our client, a Midlands-based design & build specialist, is seeking a detail-focused Estimator with some HVAC design experience to support a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. You will be based in the Nottingham office, working across diverse, multifaceted HVAC and mechanical projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Analyse drawings, specifications and project documents to prepare accurate HVAC/mechanical cost estimates
* Complete detailed take-offs for materials, labour and equipment, ensuring competitive costings
* Collaborate with design teams to review and optimise specifications for performance and value
* Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
* Prepare and present estimates, proposals and bid documentation aligned with client and project requirements
Skills & Experience
* Experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating with strong technical understanding of HVAC systems
* HND/HNC or degree in Mechanical Building Services or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Proficient using estimating software, spreadsheets and reading technical drawings
* Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
* Excellent communicator able to work independently or as part of a wider project team
