PART TIME WELLBEING/ ACTIVITIES ASSISTANTS

As an Wellbeing/Activity Assistant, you will be integral to enhancing the quality of life for residents in our care home. Reporting to the Activities Coordinator, your role involves facilitating engaging activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation, particularly for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's. Your strong communication and organizational skills will be essential in creating a supportive atmosphere.
Requirements:
You will be working as an Assistant within the Activities Team and you will be required to:
Be willing to learn and develop activity skills
Help to develop & deliver a calendar of daily activities and events to cater to the interests and abilities of dementia residents.
Encourage resident to join in social events, games, baking, gardening, crafts etc.
Ensure there is readily available craft materials / equipment for all planned activities.
Keep accurate daily records of resident's participation and feedback within GDP Regulations
Help arrange and attend parties and events for residents and their families
Help plan, organize and attend fund raising events
Show good communication skills
Show good organizational skills
HOURS
22 hours per week working 5 days over 7 including weekends & Bank Holidays
Applicants will need an Enhanced DBS check
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.40 per hour
