Mitchells Chartered Accountants is a well-established and growing firm that specialises in supporting over 600 agricultural businesses across the South West. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as an Accounting Assistant, combining hands-on work experience with informal inhouse training.
JOB TYPE: Full time OFFICE HOURS: 08:45 - 17:00
These hours can be reviewed and could be discussed in advance of interview. Ideally would be looking at 4 days per week.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Helping with VAT returns and payroll processing
* Supporting client queries and administrative tasks
* Gaining exposure to cloud accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
* Learning from experienced professionals in a supportive, friendly environment
What We're Looking For:
* Enthusiasm for starting a career in accountancy
* Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and organisational skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English), and ideally A-levels or equivalent
