Legal Cashier - Nottingham Full-Time | Competitive Salary | Excellent Career Progression An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Legal Cashier to join a leading law firm's finance team based in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of legal finance processes, and the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced professional environment. The Role As a Legal Cashier, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. You will work closely with fee-earners, support staff, and the wider finance team to deliver a high-quality, compliant internal service. Key Responsibilities Processing client and office account payments, receipts and transfers Ensuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules at all times Daily bank reconciliations and monitoring of client account balances Handling invoices, credit notes, billing queries and queries from fee-earners Managing disbursements, supplier payments and internal financial requests Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end procedures Assisting with financial reporting, audits, and general finance administration Providing excellent internal client service across all departments About You Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a legal finance/accounts role Strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail Confident using legal finance systems (e.g., Elite, Liberate, SOS, or similar) Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise workloads effectively Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism What's on Offer A supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunities for professional development and progression Competitive salary and benefits package Modern office setting with hybrid working potential If this position is of interest to you please contact Steph at Simpson Judge
