WMC RECRUITMENT is currently seeking a qualified Early Years Educator with strong leadership and team management skills for a nursery in Welling.
As the Senior Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Educator, you will collaborate with the management team to provide professional leadership and ensure high standards of care and education for children.
Your responsibilities include supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff, and fostering positive relationships with staff, parents, and carers.
DUTIES
* Work closely with children, attending to their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing, and toileting.
* Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care.
* Work as part of a team to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
* Provide an environment that meets the individual needs of each child.
* Offer personalized support to children.
* Plan and support age-appropriate play activities aligned with the curriculum.
* Monitor and assess children's learning outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
* Act as a key person for assigned children and their families.
* Observe, assess, and record children’s developmental progress.
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
* Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
* Coordinate with Deputy Managers to organize the room effectively, acting as a role model.
* Collaborate with external agencies to support children as needed.
* Attend training and meetings as required by the Nursery Manager.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 Early Years qualification and experience in early years settings.
* Safeguarding and Child Protection training.
* Understanding of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, SEND, and Child Protection.
* Knowledge of The Childcare Act (2006).
* Familiarity with EYFS welfare, learning, and development requirements.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
