Job Title: Product Portfolio Manager
This role is key to ensuring our holiday offerings remain competitive, commercially viable, and provide an opportunity for growth within the travel industry.
You will work closely with our Product & Marketing teams, supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance our product range.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Product Management Responsibilities:
* Curate and Develop Product Portfolio: Assist in creating a compelling product portfolio across our key destinations.
* Negotiate and Manage Supplier Contracts: Support the negotiation and management of supplier contracts, ensuring competitive rates and strong commercial terms.
* Monitor Competitor Activity: Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to inform product strategy.
* Ensure Profitability and Viability: Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure the profitability and viability of our products.
* Evaluate Onsite Content: Constant evaluation of onsite content and making amends where necessary.
Supplier Relations:
* Maintain Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with hotel, airline, and ground service partners.
* Contracting Process: Assist in the contracting process, including loading agreements into internal systems.
* Verify Supplier Information: Ensure suppliers are providing accurate and up-to-date information on availability, pricing, and special offers.
Product Marketing and Sales Support:
* Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure products are effectively promoted and aligned with customer demand.
* Create Marketing Materials: Assist in the creation of engaging product descriptions, marketing materials, and sales collateral.
* Provide Insights: Provide insights to the Sales team on key product developments, offers, and market trends. Arrange training sessions where required.
Operational Excellence:
* Load Product Information: Ensure product information is accurately loaded into internal systems and is reflective of live pricing and availability.
* Analyse Booking Data: Analyse booking data and performance reports to make recommendations for product optimisation.
* Resolving Queries: Assist in resolving product-related queries from internal teams and external partners.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Travel Industry Experience: Experience in a product, commercial, or contracting role within the travel industry (preferably in a tour operator environment).
* Global Luxury Travel Market Understanding: Strong understanding of the Global luxury and long-haul travel market.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with travel industry booking/reservation systems.
* Proactive and Detail-Oriented Mindset: A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
