Make a Lasting Difference: Family Support Worker in Stoke-on-Trent

We're seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join Stoke-On-Trent City Council. In this pivotal role, you'll use the Thrive Framework to guide families through challenges, build strong relationships, and create lasting positive change.
Pay : £16.08 per hour
Location : Civic Centre, Stoke
Contract : 9 Months plus ongoing
You'll make a difference by:
1. Leading holistic assessments and co-creating support plans with families.
2. Collaborating with various partners to ensure families receive the right help at the right time.
3. Providing direct support to children and young people, informed by child development expertise.
4. Equipping parents with evidence-based strategies to enhance their parenting skills.
5. Working within a multi-agency framework to safeguard children and young people.
To be successful, you'll have:
6. A Level 3 qualification in Children's Care, Learning & Development, or Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
7. A full UK Driving Licence
8. In-depth knowledge of frameworks like the Supporting Families Programme and child safeguarding procedures.
9. Experience working with vulnerable families in a collaborative environment.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with people from all backgrounds.
