Our client is currently seeking a Contract Manager to join their industry leading Term Maintenance division to manage their new Defence estate contract. The contract is to deliver electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance via a third‑party contractor.
As Contract Manager you will be responsible for the overall delivery of all aspects of the work including labour management, financials and deliverables.
Responsibilities
* Support our clients from pre‑planning and pre‑programming of works through to completion.
* Write health and safety plans, method statements and risk assessments, ensuring that all sites have the appropriate documentation.
* Ensure the smooth running of sites through regular liaison with key stakeholders, supervisors and sub‑contractors.
* Ensure that the works programme is effectively resourced with labour, plant and materials.
* Monitor works and performance against the contract to enable the accurate submission of monthly invoices and final account settlement.
* Build effective and professional working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
* Manage a team of supervisors and support staff, ensuring the continuous development of skills by undertaking training needs analysis.
* Undertake site visits, audit visits and client meetings.
* Ensure financial targets are met and implement changes.
Requirements
* Proactive Contract Manager with experience delivering public sector contracts in the hard services engineering field.
* Solid experience in MS 365 and facilities management workflow management systems.
* Experience working on Term Maintenance contracts or for public bodies is beneficial.
* NVQ Level 4 / HND above in a construction or engineering‑related field, a CSCS card, a full UK driving licence and a safety management qualification such as IOSH or SMSTS.
Hybrid working – 2 office‑based days and 3 days work from home/site. Site visits and client meetings will be scheduled within this cadence.
