About the team
The Core Analytics Team provides data-driven insights to business and products. We work closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver the best search experiences and maximize business value.
About the role
We are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to support our Search product. You will understand user interactions with search, collaborate with product management and engineering to develop features, and improve our search ecosystem. The ideal candidate is quantitative, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving.
Responsibilities
* Define and monitor KPIs for Roku’s Search product growth.
* Analyze data and communicate insights to solve business problems and identify trends.
* Develop data pipelines for automation, validation, and reporting.
* Align data science initiatives with organizational goals, design, and execute A/B tests.
* Create analytical tools to understand search success factors.
* Perform exploratory data analysis and advanced analysis across the platform.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams for feedback and improvements.
* Provide feedback to search leadership on performance and opportunities.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, etc.) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
* Experience in search, consumer products, digital media, or entertainment industries.
* Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar languages.
* Experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
* Action-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with A/B testing and statistical modeling.
