Overview
Retail Optical Assistant at Vision Express. You will assist customers in finding and selecting eyewear that meets their needs. You will help with frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings, and may perform some pre-screening eye examinations and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, supporting the phone lines from customer queries and processing payments. The goal is to provide excellent customer service and ensure customers leave with eyewear that fits properly and meets their vision needs. Vision Express is part of the EssilorLuxottica family, a global leader in lenses, frames and sunglasses.

What we are looking for
* Provide excellent customer service with personalised assistance to customers and address their needs and concerns
* Great communication and rapport building to translate professional terminology into language understandable to patients
* Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements to provide the best service and product recommendations
* Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across the store
* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment
* Confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm
* Knowledge and understanding of optical products and services (frames, lenses, contact lenses) and the ability to inform customers and promote products to help meet store targets
* Arrange and maintain the store look and feel, keeping it organised and stocked in line with store marketing guidance
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding customer service and tailored assistance to customers seeking eyewear
* Assist with frame adjustments, repairs, fittings, and basic eye-care tasks as appropriate
* Support pre-screening eye examinations where applicable and handle administrative duties (scheduling appointments, answering customer queries on the phone, processing payments)
* Maintain accurate customer records and prescriptions
* Collaborate with teammates to ensure a high-quality, visually appealing store environment
