VERY Attractive Pay – hourly rate depends on group size:
* 1 hour with 1 student = £25ph
* 1 hour with 2 students = £35ph
* 1 hour with 3 students = £40ph
* 1 hour with 4 students = £50ph
Example Week:
* Core hours: Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 4:30pm–7:30pm (9 hours per week) with 4 students in each session = £1,800 per month.
* Optional weekends: Additional sessions available on Saturdays and Sundays for tutors who want to take on more hours.
We are seeking an experienced Maths Tutor to join our team on a self-employed basis.
Responsibilities
* Lead Group Sessions: Teach small groups of 3–4 students, ensuring lessons are interactive and engaging for everyone.
* Plan and Adapt Lessons: Prepare and adjust session plans for KS3–GCSE Maths, tailored to the needs of each student in the group.
* Deliver High-Quality Teaching: Use the provided curriculum and resources to deliver clear, effective lessons that build confidence and progress.
* Monitor Progress: Regularly assess student understanding and ensure they remain on track with their academic goals.
* Provide Feedback: Give constructive, encouraging feedback to students and support them in areas of difficulty.
* Parent Communication: Update parents once per term with detailed feedback on progress and address any questions or concerns.
* Maintain Records: Keep accurate notes on attendance, progress, and learning outcomes.
Skills & Requirements
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 and GCSE Maths curriculum
* Experience in tutoring or teaching for a minimum of 10 years
* Excellent communication skills with both students and parents
* Ability to engage and motivate students of different abilities
* A genuine passion for helping young people succeed in Maths
