About the role:
At NEXT we have a great opportunity for a Visual & Creative Merchandiser to join our Womenswear Retail Marketing team for 9 months based at Head Office in Leicestershire. As a Visual & Creative Merchandiser you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a visually inspiring shopping environment for the NEXT customer focusing specifically on Womenswear. You will help to create Head Office VM Guidelines to a high level, supporting & developing store teams along the way.
You will have a creative eye and the ability to communicate effectively, with a passion and genuine interest in Visual Merchandising. Retail VM experience is essential.
Main Tasks
Managing the product layouts
* Preplan and implement visual merchandising phase changes inline with the mockshop critical path
* Communicate with the Womenswear product team throughout the layouts
* Provide creative input into the layouts and display equipment
* Research and feedback ideas to enhance the layout, through merchandising and equipment
* Work on projects to move the Womenswear department forward
* Store opening support
Producing the Visual Merchandise Guidelines
* Coordinate the visual merchandise guideline packs for each phase
* Communicate and write memos for stores
* Act as point of contact for product teams and store queries
* Create a relationship and work with the Womenswear Product team
About you
* Have excellent planning and time management skills
* Have personal drive, motivation and resilience
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Be able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
* Be flexible to travel / stay away for short periods and work additional hours if necessary
* Have experience of working with Womenswear product (desirable but not essential)
* Have Visual Merchandising experience in a Retail environment
