Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Radstock, BA3
Salary: £48,799 + Overtime (x1.5)
Hours: 44 hours per week (Monday to Friday), rotating early and late shifts. Includes 1 in 3 Saturdays (6am–12 noon) and participation in an on-call rota (including nights).
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer for a Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join their site-based engineering team in Radstock. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business that plays a vital role in supporting the UK agricultural and food production industry.
The Role:
You will be responsible for performing both proactive and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment, with a focus on minimising downtime and supporting the ongoing efficiency and safety of the production and intake systems.
Key duties include:
* Conducting planned maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems
* Rapid response to breakdowns and production interruptions
* Supporting continuous improvement by identifying and implementing efficiency and safety enhancements
* Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance and uphold health and safety standards
* Working closely with the production team to resolve technical issues promptly
Candidate Requirements:
* A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical disciplines
* Minimum 17th Edition certification (18th Edition preferred)
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Good knowledge of Star Delta systems and PLCs is advantageous
* Understanding of Safe Isolation procedures
* Ability to deliver effective short and long-term engineering solutions
