Our Digital Services Group (DSG) is a diverse business within MASS, providing digital capabilities for secure settings, supporting National Security initiatives for the UK and its partners.
They are developing their methods and infrastructure to enable growth and are seeking a technically credible, relationship-centric Business Development Manager.
This is primarily a remote role with UK and occasional overseas travel, with regular in-person meetings at UK bases in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
How you’ll support us
You’ll own high-value MOD and Government agency business-winning activities, building and developing relationships for long-term mutual benefit, including securing multi-year, 6–7 figure deals in secure IT environments.
Working with a Pre-Sales Engineer, you’ll combine commercial and technical expertise to design solutions that contribute to national security.
You’ll lead capture and account plans, track progress, represent MASS at industry events, and collaborate with Technical, Delivery, and Marketing teams to maximize growth opportunities from initial contact to delivery.
The experience you’ll bring
We expect you to have experience in customer-facing roles, translating complex requirements into solutions and communicating effectively to audiences of varying technical abilities.
Essential:
* Experience selling into secure environments, especially IT Service Management
* Exposure to Defence and Government customers, understanding procurement cycles and frameworks
* Proven track record of closing six and seven figure, multi-year deals
* Security clearance or eligibility to obtain SC/DV
* Commercial sales background as an Account Executive or Business Development Manager
* Strong technical acumen, working closely with technical specialists
Desirable:
* Experience with organisations like Darktrace, Google, IBM, SiXworks, Oracle, or Defence Digital
* Knowledge of Government security classifications and secure-by-design principles
* Experience in cybersecurity, managed services, or complex technology sales
Non-negotiables:
* AUK National and eligible to work in the UK
* Eligible for UK Government Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
