Overview
Job title: Independent Assessor. Location: Bristol (hybrid) with occasional travel to a customer site. Salary: £75,000 - £95,000.
iO are supporting a leading organisation delivering one of the UK's most significant, high-profile infrastructure programmes.
Now looking to add an Independent Assessor to be a key player in an ongoing project, playing an important role in ensuring the highest possible standards in radiation protection & waste management are met.
Responsibilities
* Lead/participate in independent assessments and audits to verify radiation protection and waste management compliance.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with UK nuclear regulations and industry best practices.
* Provide expert oversight on regulatory compliance for radiation protection and radioactive waste management.
Qualifications
* Degree in physics / nuclear / environmental science
* 10+ years nuclear industry experience
* Strong knowledge of UK nuclear regulations
* Proven experience in radiation protection, radiography and/or radioactive waste management
* Experience leading independent assessments and audits
* Ideally certified in HRA & RPA
