NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The Respiratory Physiology Service provides routine & specialized services to the population of Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

The post holder will be required to perform basic/specialist diagnostic investigations, sterilization of equipment and general administrative duties for the respiratory laboratories within GGCHB. Band 6 or trainees positions would be considered.

The post holder must be able to travel to sites across GG&C to provide diagnostic tests on a rotational basis.


Minimum Qualifications

* BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent. Other scientific degrees may be considered.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Completion of (band 6) or working toward ARTP practitioner certificate (2 year trainee)
* Experience working within a respiratory physiology department, with evidence of assessment of competence in performing basic respiratory and/or sleep investigations.
* Knowledge of specialised respiratory and sleep investigations and the pathophysiology around both.
