Primary PRU Teaching Assistant – Sunderland
Pay: £89 to £110 per day

We’re supporting a primary alternative provision in Sunderland, where pupils need predictable routines, patient adults and learning that feels achievable. Small groups, relational practice and regular check-ins are key here.
Your role:
• Building trust with pupils who may have struggled in mainstream
• Supporting emotional regulation and safe behaviour
• Helping with literacy, numeracy and personalised learning tasks
• Creating a calm, structured classroom vibe
• Using restorative approaches to repair choppy moments

• Experience in SEMH, PRU, nurture groups or EY/KS1 behaviour support
