Job Overview
We currently have exciting opportunities for Process Technicians to join our waste team at Rye Meads Sewage Works - SG12 8JY. Your role will include performing front-line activities such as operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure services meet standards in time, cost, and quality. This may involve planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support plant operation. Travel to other sites within the surrounding area may be required.
Location & Working Pattern
Base Location: Rye Meads Sewage Works - SG12 8JY.
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 7:30-15:36, 38 hours per week. Opportunity to be included in a call-out rota with additional pay.
Responsibilities
1. Perform scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment following company standards and procedures.
2. Operate and clean plant and equipment to maintain operational and safety standards.
3. Respond to reactive jobs following plant or equipment failure.
4. Maintain site cleanliness and undertake safety and security checks.
5. Follow all health and safety guidance and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
* Self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, with a can-do attitude.
* Ownership mindset: respond quickly to faults, understand problems, and resolve them effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team player with proactive approach and effective communication skills.
* Willingness to undergo safety training.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Full UK driving license is essential.
