Happy Healthy You Bradford and Beyond is looking for someone who can take ownership of our communications and bring our work to life.
About Social Media and Communications Lead
This is not a routine communications role. We are a community led organisation working across Bradford, supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing through culturally responsive, community based activity. Our work is rooted in trust, lived experience and strong relationships with the communities we serve.
As we grow, we are now focused on strengthening how we communicate our impact, building our presence locally and nationally, and ensuring the depth and value of our work is clearly understood.
This role is a key part of that journey.
About the Role
This role sits at both a strategic and hands on level.
You will lead our social media and communications, shape how we present ourselves, and play a central role in how we capture and share our impact while also being actively involved in creating content, visiting sessions and keeping our platforms alive and engaging.
A major part of this role is leading our Annual Impact Report, ensuring stories, content and evidence are gathered throughout the year and brought together into something meaningful and high quality.
You will also work closely with a small team, supporting others contributing to communications and helping maintain strong standards across everything we produce.
What We're Looking For
We’re not looking for someone to just "post content".
* Takes initiative and gets things done
* Has strong attention to detail and high standards
* Can think both strategically and practically
* Is creative, organised and reliable
* Understands how to tell real stories in a respectful and meaningful way
* Feels connected to community based work and values
You must be comfortable working across diverse communities and understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, trust and respectful engagement in all aspects of your work.

What It's Like to Work With Us
We are a small, close knit team, and collaboration is a big part of how we work. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to support the wider team when needed. In return, you’ll be part of an organisation where your work has real meaning and impact.
Why This Role Matters
Happy Healthy You is at a key stage of growth. We are strengthening how we communicate our work, influence wider systems, and ensure the voices and experiences of our communities are seen and understood. This role is a chance to be part of that and to help shape how a trusted, community led organisation is represented and recognised.
