This includes the management of resources, first line management of staff, caseload management and supervision and working in close collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Lead, NMPs and Senior Cluster Manager. The post holder will oversee the team’s delivery of evidence based therapeutic interventions for prisoners experiencing a range of mental health and substance use difficulties. The role involves close working with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, locally, regionally and in some instances nationally. A priority will be to ensure that those individuals requiring transfer to secure hospital are identified and transferred in a timely manner. Mental health care will be delivered under the framework of The Care Programme Approach. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for further details, a summary is below: Support in the implementation of integrated care pathways including appropriate service user assessments and models of care within a stepped care mental health model. Co-ordinate care delivery, across the mental healthcare pathway e.g. referrals management, allocations of named worker/care co-ordinator, ensuring seamless continuity of care across the stepped care model dependent on service user need. Demonstrate the application of appropriate procedures and standards. Assist in the general management of the clinical area, with responsibilities for managing attendance. Lead on caseload and management supervision to monitor named nurse/care co-ordinator standards of service user care and documentation.
