Role Overview
Haughley & Thurston Vet Centre in Suffolk is searching for a passionate and self‑assured Veterinary Surgeon to join our warm and experienced team. Our practice is trusted by local families for over four decades, specialising in dogs and cats while also treating a range of unusual patients including poultry. We support local charities and community initiatives, underscoring our commitment to the wider Suffolk community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consulting care and perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including TPLOs, cystotomies and gastrotomies.
* Utilise modern diagnostic and treatment equipment such as DR X‑ray, dental radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound and an in‑house laboratory.
* Practice flexible working: 40 hours per week 4‑5 days, Saturday mornings 8:30 – 13:00 with no out‑of‑hours work required; part‑time options available.
Support & Development
* Work alongside a close‑knit team of five vets, seven RVNs and six receptionists.
* Leverage mentorship from three certificate holders (ECC, dentistry, small‑animal medicine) and visiting specialists in orthopaedics, ophthalmology and ultrasonography.
