The Role
As a Private Client Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to fee earners within a busy department. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising client meetings
* Handling incoming enquiries and providing a professional, client-focused service
* Audio typing and digital dictation
* Opening and closing files, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with compliance procedures
* Liaising with clients, colleagues, and external organisations
* General administrative duties to support the smooth running of the department
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Private Client
* Strong audio typing and document production skills
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
* A warm, professional communication style with a focus on client care
* Confidence working with Wills, Probate, LPAs, and Estate Administration (desirable)
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
