We are looking for an Orthopaedic/Spinal Scrub to join a leading private healthcare group in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality and efficient scrub care to patients during their surgical procedures.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced scrub with a strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, and knowledge of the principles of orthopaedic surgery. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and assemble the equipment, instruments and supplies necessary for the procedure.
* Assist the Surgeon during the procedure, as well as providing assistance to other team members.
* Follow all relevant rules and regulations.
* Ensure that the operating theatre is always kept clean and to the required standards.
* Manage the equipment and supplies in the theatre.
* Ensure that the patient is always kept safe and comfortable during the procedure.
* Monitor the patient's vital signs during the procedure and take any necessary action.
* Clean and sterilize all equipment and instruments after the procedure.
* Maintain accurate records of all procedures.
Technical Skills
* Experience in Orthopaedic Scrubbing
* Knowledge of aseptic technique
* Knowledge of the principles of orthopaedic surgery
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to follow rules and regulations
* Ability to monitor and take necessary action
* Ability to maintain accurate records
* Ability to clean and sterilize equipment
