35,000k Hours: Day shifts Were recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to join a dynamic and growing manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities Tool Manufacturing: Produce patterns/models of required parts from various materials (wood, modelling board, metals) to meet customer specifications, working from technical drawings, templates, or existing foam samples.
Mould Production: Create moulds using wet lay or cast resin methods and finish to a high standard, including hand polishing.
Assembly & Fitting: Fit pins, frames, and other components into moulds as required, and carry out welding to finish moulds when necessary.
Finishing Work: Apply paints or sealants where required to prepare moulds for production.
Diagnose and repair moulds either in place on the track or in the workshop; carry out modifications or adjustments to support production efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales and production departments on new product development, providing technical input and support for quoting new tools.
Workshop Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised tooling workshop, adhering to all Health & Safety standards.
