Senior Electrical Manager: Glasgow:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Manager for a large transport project in Glasgow.
We can pay outside IR35.
Duties are as follows:
* Provide expertise and challenge on electrical and lighting matters to support oversight of our contractors on scheme development, delivery and annual investment programmes.
* Take the lead in setting out future strategy on key lighting matters relating to our future use of our Lighting Central Management System and LED equipment renewal.
* Develop electrical best practice, policy and strategy and be the technical lead for key electrical policy and standards.
* Lead on energy management, including financial oversight / management / administration of our national estate of electrical assets, including working with energy suppliers and implementing measures to drive down energy usage.
Requirements:
* Member of a relevant professional industry body.
* Preferably CEng registered with the Engineering Council but not essential.
* Demonstrable experience and expertise relating to the delivery of electrical and lighting services in a roads environment, or other relevant transport based equivalent, including the application of relevant industry standards.
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge relating to the use of the public sector electricity market and the management of different supply types.
* Demonstrable experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders, developing, and maintaining credible relationships and experience in providing advice and support to a senior level.
* Demonstrable experience of contract management and successfully delivering a range of priorities in a complex and challenging environment with a flexible approach to team working.
