QuarriersGlasgow North West Carers Service have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Family Wellbeing Worker.
The service provides support toimprove the quality of life and wellbeing of unpaid carers of all ages in the Northwest of Glasgow. We achieve this by offering person centred, inclusive support focussing on what matters to carers and their families.

The successful candidate will be required to:
* Work alongside other professionals from education, health, social work and third sector organisations to provide support for unpaid carers and their families.
* Assist in the development of creative approaches to identify, engage and support carers experiencing a range of challenges in their role.
* Assess the needs of unpaid carers within families by completing adult carers support plans and young carers statements to a high standard.
* Offer a range of practical and emotional supports for unpaid carers to help minimise the negative impact of caring responsibilities and achieve positive wellbeing.
* Facilitate group and individual learning/activity programmes for carers and families, where appropriate.
* Utilise a range of tools to consult with carers and ensure their views actively shape service delivery, locally and beyond.
* Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Which supports effective measurement of success and contributes to service development planning.
* Assist the team to develop and facilitate peer wellbeing groups/drop ins.
* Contribute to the promotion and content for the webpage, social media, and fact sheets.
* Undertake any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with the post.
What you will need to succeed/bring to the role
* Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
* Experienced in Microsoft packages, Word, Excel etc.
* Ability to build trusting relationships
* Empathy and excellent communication skills
* Excellent team player
* Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
Working pattern: This is a full time permanent role.
This role includes the use of agile working policies, offering 37 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with possible evening and weekend work.
Please note driving and access to your own vehicle is essential as you will be required to travel to various locations and participate/lead on group work.
