Job Title: Panel Wirers
Location: Near Burton Upon Trent (car likely required, as there is no public transport)
Hours: 40 hours per week - 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 1:00pm Friday (possible half-hour later start)
Overview:
We are looking to recruit Panel Wirers to start as soon as possible (subject to D&A and interview). This role is for a contract running at least until March 2026. You will assemble and wire electrical panels to technical drawings, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and modify steel racking for the project.
* Strip and remove existing PCBs from historical frameworks.
* Install pre-purchased equipment and circuit boards into electrical racks.
* Produce wiring harnesses in collaboration with engineering.
* Hard wire electronics racks and, in the future, install prebuilt wire harnesses.
* Perform soldering, wire crimping, and pin-to-pin testing.
* Conduct electrical tests and complete associated documentation.
* Maintain health and safety standards and comply with company policies.
* Support 5S activities and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
* Work as part of a team to meet tight project deadlines.
Requirements:
* Experience in panel wiring, cable management, and electrical systems.
* Ability to work to deadlines in a changing environment.
* Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated team player.
* Good vision and ability to identify colours.
* Preferred: Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Service.
* Preferred: Experience in rail or automotive sectors.
* Preferred: Knowledge of IPC 7711C-7721C (requalification provided on-site)
