About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on IT System Administrator to support users at a local European site while working closely with a central IT function. You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT support, keeping systems running smoothly and ensuring a great user experience.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and being the local IT expert-without the pressure of people management.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide first-line, on-site IT support for hardware, software, and network issues
* Resolve incidents locally and escalate complex issues to central IT
* Act as the main IT contact for local users
* Install, maintain, and manage end-user devices and peripherals
* Coordinate repairs and vendors; maintain IT asset inventory
* Monitor local network components and support basic patching/cabling
* Manage user accounts and access rights (Active Directory)
* Implement local IT security standards and handle security incidents
* Support IT rollouts, upgrades, and continuous service improvements
* Collaboration with central IT team on VPN and WAN issues (read only)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* IT-related qualification or equivalent hands-on experience
* Strong knowledge of Windows client environments
* Experience with Active Directory
* Basic understanding of networks and Windows Server environments
* Confidence supporting printer hardware and peripherals
* Good communication skills in English
Nice to Have
* Experience working in an international or multi-site environment
* Knowledge of IT security best practices
* Additional European language skills
