Position Overview
9 Months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover), Part Time (0.5). Position will commence in the 2026/27 academic year, not before August 2026.
We are seeking an experienced Lecturer with extensive Acting and Directing abilities to teach performance skills from Level 1 to Level 3. The Performing Arts courses focus on developing skills, knowledge, and behaviours relevant to industry career progression and further education.
Responsibilities
* Develop module study guides and/or schemes of work.
* Oversee delivery and supervise assessment processes.
* Carry out internal verification and liaise with external verifiers or moderators as required.
* Provide pastoral support to students when needed.
Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work toward one) and be recognized as a good or outstanding teacher.
* Hold a degree or higher, or relevant professional qualifications in an appropriate subject.
* Possess acting and directing abilities and industry knowledge to teach performance skills from Level 2 to Level 3.
* Experience teaching SEND learners is beneficial but not essential.
* Have a thorough understanding of evidence-based teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Be a reflective practitioner capable of developing and implementing innovative approaches.
* Show a strong commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding, personalized learning, and the delivery of educational excellence.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any salary increase resulting from the annual cost-of-living review in the new academic year.
