Kelly Group are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in providing services across various locations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident to ensure our facilities and equipment are in top condition. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs in company owned and leased properties
* Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance across Kelly Group properties to identify and address potential issues
* Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications.
* Fabricate and assemble structures such as frameworks, door frames, and roof trusses
* Install cabinets, shelves, drywall, and other fixtures
* Perform painting tasks as needed to finish projects
* Ensure all work is plumb and level, adhering to building codes and safety regulations
* Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals on site
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
* Coordinate with external contractors for specialized work and supervise quality of service when required
* Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and schedules for recurring maintenance tasks
* Responding promptly to maintenance requests from stakeholders and facilities manager
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all tasks to ensure a safe environment for tenants, staff, and visitors
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
* Proven experience working on both commercial and residential properties
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
* Knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage but not essential
* Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches accurately
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to fabricate solutions on-site
* Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
* Valid driving licence, and must be willing to travel
