Join Our Team as a Specialist Support Worker

Location:

Birchington, Kent

Salary:

£12.30 per hour (£23,985 pro-rata) plus benefits.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, shifts vary between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday (on a shift rota basis).

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement:

A full UK manual driving license is essential. Please note, we will not consider applications without a valid UK driving licence.

Right to Work:

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer skilled worker visas.

Essential Criteria

To be considered, you should demonstrate experience in at least two of the following areas:

* Mental Health
* Behaviours that Challenge
* Trauma-Informed Care
* Autism and Learning Disabilities
* Positive Behaviour Support

About You

Are you someone who enjoys making a difference? Do you have a calm, caring, resilient nature? If so, we want to hear from you! We seek individuals who can stay calm under pressure, are enthusiastic, proactive, and comfortable supporting individuals with challenging behaviours. A manual UK driving license and comfort with driving alternative vehicles are required.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you'll support individuals in living their best lives, including:

* Daily Care & Support: Assisting with personal care, meals, medication, and daily tasks.
* Building Relationships: Understanding and supporting individual needs.
* Empowering Independence: Supporting personal goals and encouraging exploration.
* Social Engagement: Supporting participation in activities, hobbies, and social events.
* Respect & Dignity: Ensuring respectful, dignified, and equal treatment.

Supporting Individuals with Autism and Complex Needs

Experience supporting autistic individuals with complex health needs is advantageous. We seek calm, assertive, reliable individuals with a good sense of humour, who can support leading an active, fulfilling life despite challenges.
